Harrogate Town travel to Salford City's Moor Lane base this evening (Tuesday) to contest an FA Trophy replay.

Simon Weaver’s men drew 2-2 with the Ammies in the original tie on November 26, and the sides were supposed to face-off again last Tuesday, only for the game to be postponed due to a frozen pitch.

A home meeting with Conference National high-flyers Barrow awaits the winners of tonight’s match.

And Town will go into the clash buoyed by Saturday’s 2-1 home success over AFC Telford United, a result which saw them win in National League North for the first time since September, bringing to an end a sequence of seven league fixtures without a victory.

After a goalless first half, JP Pittman moved the hosts in front just before the hour-mark when he converted James Cadman’s left-wing cross.

Pittman, still playing his way back to full fitness following an injury lay-off, doubled his side’s advantage five minutes from time when he nodded home his 13th goal of the campaign from close range after Joe Leesley picked him out.

Jon Royle’s 90th-minute header reduced the arrears and set up a nervy final few minutes of injury time for Town, but Weaver’s side held out for a much-needed three points.
